Project Outline

Memorial Park Playground acts as the central recreational space for the youth of Junee. Working with Junee Shire Council, CRS has provided the rural town with a diverse and comprehensive space.

At the heart of the playground is a KliX THEMEplay Locomotive Play Fort, featuring over 20 climbing, sliding, and balancing activities. This train-themed structure creates a strong visual connection to Main Street, drawing the community of Junee into Memorial Park.

Surrounding the central fort, a variety of play elements are seamlessly integrated using synthetic surfacing. Sensory play items such as Voice Tubes, Musical Chimes, a Disc Spinner, Balance Trails, and interactive game panels are all connected to the main locomotive structure, enhancing a natural flow of play experience.

Natural elements, including tactile plants and feature trees, harmonise with the park’s floral palette while providing shade and a connection to nature. Additionally, a mix of formal and informal seating is thoughtfully placed throughout the space, positioned under trees and picnic shelters to ensure sun protection for both children and their carer’s.
