Smarter Materials for a Sustainable Future
We carefully select materials that are both durable and environmentally responsible. Our playground equipment is proudly Australian Made by KliX Play Structures (KliX), this alone eliminates carbon emissions caused from international cargo shipping.
Wherever possible, KliX use engineered aluminium which is durable, lightweight, and infinitely recyclable. KliX also utilises high-density polyethylene (HDPE) for panels and decks, this material is both recycled and recyclable – up to 98% of each play or fitness product is made with recycled and recyclable materials.
KliX prioritise locally sourced, sustainable timbers and raw metal materials – This is both environmentally friendlier and supports the Australian economy.
Waste Reduction
To ensure absolute precision and minimise material waste during production, KliX makes significant investments in highly skilled product designers and fabricators. These experts operate advanced nesting software and state-of-the-art machinery, ensuring every piece of material serves a purpose. Even off-cuts are meticulously collected and recycled, contributing to our sustainability efforts.
This commitment to quality, innovation and environmental responsibility is just one of the many reasons KliX play and fitness equipment stands a cut above the rest in the playground and recreation industry.
Powered by the Sun
Together with KliX Play Equipment, we have taken big steps to reduce the energy footprint. In late 2020, solar panels were installed to power our 2000m2 KliX factory and the CRS office building, cutting electricity used from the grid by up to 65%. This shift to solar energy significantly reduces reliance on fossil fuels, proving that sustainable improvements at the workplace is a smart business move.
