CoastGard™ is an advanced coastal corrosion resistant materials protection system engineered specifically for coastal and high-exposure environments. KliX uses a range of carefully selected materials and fabrication methods to maximise durability in corrosion-prone conditions. These include 316 marine-grade stainless steel, ACRS-certified steel, and advanced multi-layer powder-coating systems – each chosen to deliver superior protection and long-term performance in demanding environments.

Handrails Beams Bars and Playspace Metal Fabrication Works

KliX utilises high-performance aluminium and stainless steel in its playspace metal fabrication works to deliver superior structural integrity and long-term corrosion resistance in demanding public environments.
Engineer-certified aluminium extrusions and precision-formed hollow sections are selected for their strength-to-weight efficiency, reducing transport emissions while maintaining structural performance. All aluminium components are finished with a durable polyester powder-coating system for enhanced protection and aesthetic consistency.

For high-load and high-exposure applications, we specify 316 marine-grade stainless steel to provide exceptional strength and corrosion resistance – particularly in coastal and harsh environmental conditions.

All playspace metal fabrication works and finishing processes are undertaken to strict quality control standards, ensuring consistent performance, structural reliability and premium finish across every KliX structure.

Swing Beams and Flying-Fox Structures

To ensure corrosion protection, all welded steel items, swing beams and flying-fox structures are hot-dip galvanised (ACRS-Certified Steel) for maximum corrosion protection and structural compliance.

High-Use Steel Components & Non-Structural Metal

We incorporate high-grade stainless-steel components in our playground structures where maximum strength and corrosion resistance are critical – particularly in coastal, non-structural metal play components and high-use environments. Stainless steel offers exceptional durability, is resistant to rust and staining, and requires minimal maintenance over time. It’s an ideal choice for exposed fixings, fasteners, and high-contact areas, ensuring safety and longevity in all conditions.

All hardware is manufactured from high-quality 304 or 316 grade stainless steel, offering superior strength and longevity.

Security Torx head machine screws are used to help prevent vandalism. All fasteners are installed with a coloured thread-locker compound to prevent loosening from vibration. All fasteners and the precise fixing methods have been carefully specified and certified by structural engineers as appropriate for use in accordance with building codes and playground standards.

6mm diameter short link stainless steel SS304 chain is particularly suited to playground requirements (AS4685.1:2014).

All steelwork is independently certified by the Australasian Certification Authority for Reinforcing and Structural Steels (ACRS), ensuring compliance with rigorous industry standards.

See-Through Screens for Safe Play Fort Designs

See-Through Screens come in powder-coated perforated aluminium or tensioned marine-grade stainless steel mesh.

They protect against falls and stop unwanted climbing. They also maximise visibility and let natural light pass through the play equipment.

Our team designs each screen to strict specifications and assembles it with care. This ensures full compliance with AS 4685 Playground Equipment Standards.

Structural Columns and Uprights for Play Equipment

Engineer-certified 6005A-T5 aluminium structural columns and uprights are precision fabricated and powder-coated in a wide range of premium finishes, including timbergrain textures. The extruded design keeps the posts lightweight while maintaining superior strength and durability. Aluminium is also fully recyclable, making it a more environmentally responsible choice. Posts are available in 100 × 100 mm and 65 × 65 mm profiles.

We stock HDPE (high-density polyethylene) in both new and recycled material, offering exceptional durability with long-term colour retention and superior wear performance. UV-stabilised, vandal-resistant and 100% recyclable, it provides a sustainable solution designed to last. Available in a unique range of colours not commonly found in the market, our HDPE offers greater design flexibility. For platforms and decks, we also provide HDPE with an integrated grip surface to enhance safety underfoot.
