Evolution – 2010
By 2010, CRS expanded its capabilities beyond construction, becoming a commercial playground equipment supplier and offering clients a complete design and construct playground solution. By importing playground equipment and integrating procurement with in-house project delivery, CRS positioned itself as a full-service playground company โ providing concept design, supply and installation under one roof.
During this period of growth, CRS strategically invested in its future by bringing together some of Australiaโs leading specialised design engineers. This expansion of in-house expertise enabled the development of a new generation of Australian-made playground equipment โ purpose-built to meet local conditions, compliance requirements and community expectations.
Drawing on its strong landscape construction foundations, CRS also developed its own range of custom timber playground products. At a time when many playgrounds were dominated by standalone equipment, rubber surfacing and concrete edging, CRS was among the early designers to champion nature play principles โ integrating natural materials, timber structures and landscape-driven play experiences into cohesive, immersive environments.
By combining engineering excellence with landscape-led design, CRS helped redefine playground delivery in Australia โ shifting from equipment-focused installations to thoughtfully designed community spaces.
As demand for professionally designed and constructed playgrounds continued to grow nationwide, CRS strengthened its manufacturing capability and national delivery model to support an expanding client base.
