St George Hospital – Kogarah

Client: St George Hospital
Location: Gray St, Kogarah NSW 2217
Budget: $410,000-$450,000

Project Outline

St. George Hospital’s outdoor space has undergone a remarkable transformation thanks to the Hurstville Rotary Club and the NSW Government. The club, which has a longstanding relationship with the hospital, championed the project from the beginning and has provided medical support equipment to departments and wards over the years.

Banks MP, David Coleman, played a significant role in making the project a reality by granting Hurstville Rotary Club $400,000 in funding. The event was attended by Rotary District Governor Janice Hall, who witnessed the project’s completion.

The newly completed playground and garden will be a place of refuge and relaxation for both hospital staff and patients, particularly in light of the challenges posed by the pandemic. Doctors can conduct meetings outside, and children can enjoy playing in the fresh air.

Jan Gartrell, a proud member of the Hurstville Rotary Club, expressed her enthusiasm and delight in successfully bringing this project to fruition. Hurstville Rotary is now actively seeking new opportunities to continue making a positive impact in the community.

Thank you to everyone who contributed to the success of this project. It is a testament to the power of collaboration and community involvement in making a positive impact. Thank you to South Eastern Sydney Local Health District for allowing Creative Recreation Solutions to be part of such a special project.
