Sandy Beach Reserve – Sandy Beach

Just a short 20-minute drive north of Coffs Harbour lies the hidden treasure of Sandy Beach. This coastal haven is graced with a breathtaking shoreline and a village-friendly spirit, creating an ideal setting for the development of a new Youth Space and Community Hub.

In a collaborative effort, Coffs Harbour City Council entrusted CRS with the task of designing and constructing a dynamic play space within the Sandy Beach Reserve. The goal was to integrate the new facility with its natural surroundings while providing a source of entertainment for local children and families alike.

The envisioned space boasts a range of engaging features, tailored to a diverse age group, from toddlers to young teens. Among the highlights are a dual-flying fox equipped with an accessible seat option, a multistory KliX KUBIXplay tower bursting with activities, an accessible spinning carousel, nature play trails, a swing set, a seesaw, and various other play elements.

To enhance the overall experience, the design incorporates practical amenities such as shade sails, wooden decks, sandstone logs, and picnic shelters. These additions not only provide refuge from the sun but also encourage visitors to linger longer, fostering a sense of community and relaxation.

The thoughtful integration of play elements, natural aesthetics and comfortable amenities ensures that Sandy Beach Reserve becomes a cherished destination for families seeking both recreation and connection.
