Williams Reserve, Dundas

CRS Playspaces, in collaboration with City of Parramatta Council, has transformed Williams Reserve into an engaging and inclusive community playground designed for children of all ages and abilities.

The new Dundas playspace brings together a variety of play experiences, including climbing, sliding, swinging, rocking, balancing, sensory exploration and dynamic play.

Everyone Can Play

The Williams Reserve playground embraces an Everyone Can Play Design approach, a key consideration throughout CRS Playspaces’ designs. The layout provides opportunities for children with different abilities to participate and enjoy the playspace together.

Ground-level tactile and sensory play elements have been strategically positioned near the concrete pathway, helping provide easier access for children with varying mobility and abilities.

Balance beams, hopping logs and a shared rocking feature provide younger children with opportunities to challenge themselves while developing balance, coordination, strength and motor skills.

For older children, the TOWERplay structure offers an adventurous multi-level climbing-experience, complete with a tube slide for an exciting way back down. A cube climbing unit provides an additional challenge, encouraging strength and collaborative play.

A double bay swing with inclusive seats creates another opportunity for shared play, allowing children of different ages and abilities to enjoy the experience together.

A Big Impact on a Small Budget

The Williams Reserve playspace demonstrates how CRS Playspaces can create an engaging community playground while working within a defined budget.

With an investment of under $100k, the upgrade has transformed the existing playground into a vibrant destination for adventure, movement, connection and inclusive play.

The project showcases equipment from across the CRS Playspaces range, carefully selected to provide a diverse range of experience within one cohesive design.
