Project Outline
Shellharbour City council has once again partnered with CRS to reimagine Bateman Park, transforming it into a vibrant and inclusive community destination for Albion Park Rail. Encompassing all facets of play, climbing, sliding, rocking and swinging – the new playspace has been designed as an oasis of physical, cognitive, and social development for children of all ages and abilities.
At the heart of the design stands a custom KliX TOWERplay Combination Playfort, featuring over seven distinct play activities. This visually striking structure acts as a community landmark, fostering social connection and inclusive engagement through a diverse range of play experiences within a single playfort.
Complementing the central structure are a Double Bay Swing Set, an Inclusive Buggy Rocker, and the KliX SIGNATUREplay Fish & Chips–themed fort. Each element has been purposefully selected to offer equitable play value, stimulating imagination, coordination, and sensory development.
This vibrant upgrade celebrates the unique character of Bateman Park – creating a welcoming, imaginative, and inclusive environment that reflects the spirit of community and the ongoing collaboration between Shellharbour City Council and CRS.
