Viaduct Park Playground – Tamworth

Client: Tamworth Regional Council
Location: Peel St, Tamworth NSW 2340
Budget: $440,000-$460,000

Project Outline

The recently constructed playground at Viaduct Park in Tamworth offers a wealth of amusement and exploration that caters to children of varying ages and abilities. Its main highlight is a massive locomotive play structure, measuring 13 meters in length, which features more than 20 engaging activities. Resembling a classic passenger train, it traverses the neighboring Viaduct Train Bridge. To ensure inclusivity, Tamworth Regional Council emphasised the need for wheelchair-accessible play equipment, such as the KliX wheelchair-accessible seesaw, in-ground spinning carousel and in-ground trampolines, allowing every child to partake in the excitement.

CRS oversaw the entire project from inception to completion, encompassing the initial design, site excavation, equipment installation, and surrounding landscaping.

The Tamworth Regional City Council is overjoyed with the final outcome and has received a wealth of positive feedback from the community following the opening of the new playground.
