Korners Park – North Batemans Bay

Client: Eurobodalla Shire Council
Location: Wharf Rd, North Batemans Bay NSW 2536
Budget: $90,000-$130,000

Project Outline

CRS was appointed the task of upgrading the existing playground at Korners Park located on the beautiful north foreshore of the Batemans Bay Clyde River.

Project Approach

CRS designed a simple and accessible area to welcome children of all ages and abilities. The open plan surface is a combination of mulch and soft-fall rubber, making it safe for little ones to enjoy. An inground trampoline was included to make it easy for less mobile friends to have a great time.

At ground level, various NATURALplay trails and hoping logs test balance and agility. Nearby, a Mega Swing with a large Nest seat temps even the adults to have a go. The main attraction is the stunning KliX TOWERplay structure. Vibrantly coloured recycled HDPE panels, climbing activities and large multiple slides catch the attention of little eyes from every angle.

Project Special Features

CoastGard™ corrosive-resistant materials and specialised primers were specified to battle the constant salty breeze along tough Aussie UV rays. Introducing CoastGard™ helps prolong the integrity and longevity of the equipment and reduces maintenance costs.

To finish off the project, a certified soft-fall rubber system made from 100% recycled tyres was installed in fall zones. While sandstone blocks, small plants and certified playground mulch cover the rest of the play space.
