Sandy Point Reserve, Sandy Point
Admittedly, who could blame the CRS team for getting a tad excited with the play space design at Sandy Point Reserve
The location is set in and amongst the leafy Georges River National Park with surrounding bushland and beautiful river views.
Sutherland Shire Council’s objective was to encourage more families to visit this hidden gem. With that in mind, CRS went to the drawing board to develop a play space for children of all ages and abilities to enjoy, whilst parents sit and admire the scenery.
The play equipment selected is from the KliX Shade ‘n’ Play range. The larger-than-usual roofs play an important role, as they provide shade in summer, relief from the rain and protection from any falling tree branches or twigs.
Synthetic grass runs throughout most of the playground, providing more play opportunities and movability for parents with prams. An impressive 16 m timber bridge allows easy wheelchair access and a fun scooter path to a giant hanging nest swing – A drawcard to all who see it.
CRS took care of the entire project from start to finish. This included the initial design, site excavation, equipment installation and surrounding landscaping.
